PRODUCT LEADER · BUILDER · DRUMMER

Curiosity,in goodcompany.

I’m Christophe. I build products, play the drums, and ask a lot of questions about how things work and what people care about. I also make a lot of puns.

01 / THE PERSON

A little
about me.

I want to understand the world.
And the people in it.

I grew up in Versailles and lived in Paris, a city I love. I also spent two years living and studying in Italy before my career took me from France to the United States.

I have a lot of interests, from evolutionary biology and linguistics to philosophy, art, and music. I like understanding how things work, and I’m just as interested in people’s personal stories.

01

How the world works

Science, engineering, evolutionary biology, geopolitics, and sociology.

02

How we make meaning

Linguistics, philosophy, science fiction, historical fiction, and the psychology of relationships.

03

What moves me

Abstract modern art, ballet, mid-century architecture, Bauhaus design, ’70s instrumental funk, and psychedelic rock.

A few favourites
Painting

02 / THE WORK

Understand people.
Build useful things.

I spent nearly 15 years at IBM, first in consulting and customer implementations, then building a product and leading product teams. I’m now working on Trucea.

2011–2019

IBM · CONSULTING

Learning from real customer problems

From strategy and transformation to AI implementations for customers including EDF, Orange Bank, and Bouygues Telecom. I learned to work through technical complexity and the human situations around it.

2016–2019

IBM · PRODUCT & HANDS-ON DEVELOPMENT

Building Virtual Assistant Manager

I personally built the first version using Node.js and APIs, then helped develop the product, roadmap, and go-to-market. The experience earned me IBM’s 2017 Major Outstanding Technical Achievement Award.

2019–2025

IBM · WATSON DISCOVERY & ENTERPRISE AI

From France to the US. From builder to product leader.

I moved to the US as a Senior Product Manager, then grew into Principal and Group Product Manager roles. I led strategy across seven enterprise AI products representing $100M+ in ARR and managed six Senior Product Managers.

2026–NOW

FOUNDER

Back to building, with Trucea

I’m building a Slack coach for managers who need to prepare a difficult conversation. I work on the product and code, and talk with potential customers to understand what would help them.

03 / THE PROJECTS

What I’m
building.

A few products and personal tools I’ve been working on. They cover conversations, moving house, keeping in touch, and remembering what I learn.

01

AI · SLACK · PYTHON

Trucea

A Slack coach for managers preparing difficult conversations.

A closer look

THE QUESTION

How can we help people address an important issue before avoidance turns it into a bigger problem?

WHAT I BUILT

A Slack-based manager coach and conversation-support app, with private preparation, follow-ups, and consent-based joint conversations. I’m working across the product, code, and customer discovery.

AI · REACT · TYPESCRIPT · POSTGRESQL

Cucujanu

An AI-assisted inventory and moving planner.

A closer look

THE QUESTION

Could a photo inventory make moving house easier?

WHAT I BUILT

A household inventory with AI-assisted photo analysis, room-by-room organization, and decisions about what to keep, sell, or give away. A moving planner estimates boxes and truck size from the inventory, with a PDF export.

03

NEXT.JS · SEARCH · CHROME EXTENSION

Knewledge

A searchable library for things I want to remember and connect.

A closer look

THE QUESTION

What happens to the interesting things I save, and how do they connect to what I’ve already learned?

WHAT I BUILT

A private library for screenshots, book photos, PDFs, text, links, and videos, with search and a weekly synthesis connecting new captures to earlier ideas.

04

REACT · CHROME EXTENSION · POSTGRESQL

Outreach

A personal outreach dashboard with a companion Chrome extension.

A closer look

THE QUESTION

How do I keep track of outreach and follow through without losing the context of each relationship?

WHAT I BUILT

A personal outreach dashboard with a companion Chrome extension, prospect history, configurable stages, follow-up queues, and pipeline metrics.

05

REACT NATIVE · AUDIO · EXPO

Sleepover

A group audio app for late-night conversations away from the screen.

A closer look

THE QUESTION

Could an app recreate the feeling of staying up talking with your friends, without keeping you looking at a screen?

WHAT I BUILT

A mobile audio experience for friends, with small groups, motion-aware microphone controls, and a playful interruption inspired by a parent walking into the room.

Earlier ventures & personal websites.

I also founded The Coat Room, which made paperless cloakroom and event-venue software, and built a wedding website and other personal tools.

04 / ELSEWHERE

Outside
work.

I’ve played drums since I was five. These days I also play golf and tennis, and I’m usually up for a strategy game with my dad.

RHYTHM

Drumming since I was five.

I taught myself to play drums when I was five and have played in rock, jazz, funk, and afrobeat bands. I love improvising and playing syncopated rhythms. I also bought congas and a saxophone. I was better at the buying part.

FOCUS

A good excuse to be with my parents.

I took up golf three years ago because my retired parents love it. Consistent practice has taken me from rounds around 130 into the 90s. I love the paradox: you need deep focus and the ability to relax at the same time.

PLAY

A little friendly competition.

I started playing tennis again two years ago, after playing as a kid. I’m around 1500 Elo at chess. With my dad, I play L’Initié, Hive, Abalone, and Othello; with the rest of the family, whist and belote.

AROUND THE TABLE

Art, on a plate.

I love French, Lebanese, Thai, and Korean food, especially when a plate is as beautiful as it is delicious.

My favourite gastronomic restaurant is Alan Geaam in Paris, near the Arc de Triomphe. For me, it’s art for the eyes and the palate.

Favourite wines

Reds
Languedoc · Mendoza
Whites
Loire Valley · The Cape Town region

HUMOUR

Yes, there will
be puns.

Humour is a big part of my life. I love the absurd, and I make a lot of puns. My wife and friends also get a steady supply of weird, funny, sometimes very dark memes.

The name itismy.website is a nod to Dwight’s “It is your birthday.” sign in The Office. I like that kind of enthusiasm.

MOMENTS I’M PROUD OF

50 km

Finishing a trail race.

Kilimanjaro

Getting to the summit.

3,000

Organizing parties for 3,000 people in Italy.

ON THE ROAD

36 countries.
A few favourites.

I like taking time to learn about a place’s history, culture, and cuisine, and to enjoy its landscapes. Here are some of my favourite places.

Peru

For the extraordinary variety of landscapes, cultures, and food.

BOOKS & CURIOSITY

On my
bookshelf.

Some favourite books, from historical fiction and sci-fi to how we think and make decisions. Below are the French and English YouTube channels I follow, too.

STILL LEARNING

Learning to listen better.

I want to be a better partner and person. I journal, learn communication tools, and help others work through conflicts. Serving on a jury for two complex criminal cases was a defining experience for me.
